“Towable Tailgates, based in Putnam County, was recognized as the No. 25 Fastest Growing Business owned or operated by a University of Georgia graduate during the 2014 Bulldog 100 Celebration Jan. 25 at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta.
The company, owned by UGA alumnus Joshua R. Daniel, specializes in building customized tailgating, concession, marketing and promotional trailers.
The company was co-founded as a joint venture between Daniel and childhood friend, Jason Green.
The firm’s office and customization warehouse is located at 1073 Greensboro Road, Eatonton, GA 31024.
The company has 3 of their standard tailgating models; the Junior Tailgater, Ultimate Tailgater and Extreme Tailgater.
He said the business sells to individual sports fans and corporate customers such as Pepsi, Budweiser, AT&T, DirecTV, Frito-Lay and Advance Auto Parts.
“We are very proud to be Bulldog-owned and extremely honored to be inducted into the UGA Bulldog 100 List in just our first year of eligibility, Daniel said.
The Bulldog 100, coordinated by the University of Georgia Alumni Association, recognizes the 100 fastest growing businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni.
Nominations were accepted between January and May 2013.
To be considered, each organization must have been in business for five years, have revenue in excess of $100,000 for the calendar year 2010, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50 percent of the company or be the CEO, president or managing partner.
The Bulldog 100 recognizes businesses by focusingon a three-year compounded annual growth rate.
More than 800 nominations were received for the 2014 Bulldog 100.
The class includes companies of all sizes, providing services and products in a variety of industries, including advertising, staffing, real estate, sporting goods and consulting.
Companies as far west as Texas and Kansas, and as far northeast as New Jersey, made the list this year.
“
